Riphah Social Welfare Department launches Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign at Riphah International Hospital
Riphah Social Welfare Department, a welfare project of Riphah International University Islamabad launched Monsoon tree plantation campaign at Riphah International Hospital (RIH) Zone 5 Sihala Islamabad, to take part in hands-on campaign of Higher Education Commission (HEC) to promote a greener Pakistan to meet the need of the water scarcity due to climatic change and other issues.
On this occasion, Pakistan Red Crescent Society’s Employees also participated in the campaign and planted about 100 saplings at Riphah International Hospital-Sihala. Medical superintendent of RIH Brig. (R) Shabbir Ahmad and other staff actively participated in the campaign.
Director Riphah Social Welfare Department Dr. Azhar Halim in his message said that there is dire need of plantation in Pakistan to overcome Environmental Challenges, and it is also a Sadka Jariya. He added that RSWD will continue tree Plantation campaign in other sites of Riphah International University and also welcomed other welfare organization to join hands in this cause.
