70TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATED WITH TRADITIONAL ENTHUSIASM AND FERVORS AT RIPHAH INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY
Riphah International University, Islamabad celebrated The 70th Independence Day of Pakistan, with traditional enthusiasm and fervors.
In Connection to this Great day, series of activities and events have been organized by different faculties in Rawalpindi & Islamabad. Literary and Debating Society of Islamic International Medical College (IIMC) and Faculty of Management Sciences (FMS) organized Declamation Contest "Main be Pakistan Hoon" at Rawalpindi Campus. Large number of Students actively participated in the event and highlighted the freedom movement of Pakistan through skits, debates and a short film made by medical students on the Topic of Today’s Pakistan.
Faculty Members and senior management was present during the event. Pakistan’s national anthem was played and ceremony started with the recitation from the Holy Quran.
Speaking on the occasion, vice Principal IIMC Brig. (R) Dr. Maqsood-ul-Hassan paid rich tributes to all those who scarified their lives for attaining the freedom. He said the nation is indebted to all those who struggled and put hard efforts to liberate the country from the clutches of cruel colonial rulers and it is the duty of every countryman/woman to contribute for preserving the hard won independence.
