| PGD TV Production Leading To Masters Post Graduate Diploma in TV Production gives the learners an opportunity to study media at postgraduate level. They will be provided with all the necessary theoretical instructions and practical skills, which give them a chance to make quality TV productions following the industry standards and practices. Students, enrolled in this program, will have an option to get a diploma or an MA degree. Those who complete 32 credit hours at RIMS will get a post graduate diploma., while others (completing two years) will get a degree of MA TV Production. Students who have completed 32 required credit hours PGD can shift their credits to MA TV Production within a time period of two years. At Institute of Media Sciences (RIMS) specialist professionals from varying backgrounds will be teaching the students. Students will also be provided with the complete practical environment including TV studios, screening room, Electronic Field Production (EFP) for outdoor shooting, Post Production Lab with ultramodern NLE machines and professional still and video cameras. As a final requirement for the completion of the program, students will be undertaking a video project encompassing writing, directing and producing .RIMS has the arrangements to air these projects from various channels if they meet the required professional standards. They have chance to continue to masters. | | | MA Media Production MA Media Production is a two year programme planned for students and to provide them a comprehensive curriculum on Production Skills. The course module is aimed for the students who are enthusiastic in acquiring the theoretical and philosophical aspect of the media with respective to production and direction.
The curriculum will provide hands-on-training for producing various TV programs; drama, documentary, and news and current affairs programs. Student will learn, under the supervision of senior professionals from PTV and other TV channels, the art of direction, producing, TV news writing and producing news in TV Studio, in newsroom and on the panel. They will also acquire the skills of cinematography, non-linear editing, and all post production skills incorporating media writing, production, research and how to pitch a story.

| | MA Broadcast Journalism The course is intensively rigorous and hands-on. You will acquire all the basic skills required to work as journalists in radio, television and online. The course substantially covers the area of news writing, news casting, Anchoring skills, researching stories, producing news bulletins and documentaries, designing website, online journalism, media laws, investigative reporting and other important technical media techniques. RIMS provide essential and standard technological facilities to the students so that they could have professional environment in which they can function. WE facilitate our student operate in a replicated media organization, where they can meet the deadlines and schedules, under the supervision of professional faculty. The course also incorporate visits to major TV and Radio channels in the area. The course also comprises of six-week work placement.
In the final semester, the students will be able to produce a broadcast standard video project, and will be given an opportunity for internship with some TV channel. By the end of the programme, the successful graduates will be able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and aptitude to work in media industry for broadcast journalism and other related jobs in radio, TV and web industry as a Broadcast Journalist, TV News writer & editor, TV News Producer, Anchor/ Host, Reporter for television Investigative Journalist, News Caster, Documentary Filmmaker, Media Analyst and Media Coordinator as an employee or as a freelancer.

| RIMS Summer School RIMS Summer School is open to aspirants interested in short media and art courses. Courses are designed to cover the basic knowledge and essential skills. Short course of a week or two will cater the participants an insight to metaphrase their ideas and visions in their respective field of interest.
Summer School will also provide to the training needs of the perspective candidates, interested to launch their career or already engaged in public and private sectors media industry and interested in updating their skills. While providing training for summer courses, information and skill level is enhanced with professionals’ attitude by following the ethical and legal standards of the media industry.
