IIDC has always placed strong emphasis on clinical and teaching excellence. It also stresses on the importance of basic and clinical research and offers opportunities and facilities for training in a variety of disciplines relevant to the biological, material, clinical and epidemiological sciences. In addition to the undergraduate courses, the Faculty offers postgraduate courses within the departments of Orthodontics and Operative dentistry.We Inshallah by the Grace of Allah Almighty plan to start postgraduate courses in all other clinical and basic science specialties.

History

Islamic International Dental College started as a department of the Islamic International Medical College in 2001. The college has produced so far 3 batches of well trained and competent dentists providing essential dental services to the people in this part of the Pakistan and beyond. Our graduates have licenses to practice anywhere in Pakistan as IIDC has been recognized by the Pakistan Medical Dental Council (PMDC).

Currently located at the Islamic International Medical Complex, 7th Avenue, G-7/4, it has the latest modern facilities to train dental surgeons for the future. The faculty is rightly committed to the development of scientifically orientated, technically capable and socially sensitive dental practitioners.

Mission

The mission of the Faculty has three components:

	To achieve excellence in research, both basic and applied, in which the encouragement of individual endeavour is complemented by the development of productive collaborative research groups both within the Faculty and also internationally.
	To provide an environment, accessible to all sections of the community, for the provision of the highest quality undergraduate and postgraduate education and training in the disciplines of: 1. Dentistry. 2. Oral health (dental hygiene and dental therapy). 3. Dental technology.
	To provide clinical expertise and first-class clinical services to the people of Islamabad and its surrounding areas.

To establish an environment of  learning and growth based on the teachings, rules and guidelines laid out by  our glorious religion, Islam. The generation of knowledge and understanding of the scientific basis of modern dentistry, through excellence in research and research-informed teaching, with continuous efforts to improve quality. Provision of an academic and clinical environment for the continuing development of all the disciplines within the Faculty. The personal development of all staff members, based on equity and justice. Openness and transparency in decision-making.
Goals and Objectives:
The Faculty aims to be the leading dental school in Pakistan with in the next 10 years and one of the top ranked dental schools in the Asia-Pacific region within 20 years.
The Faculty will be guided by 8 objectives to achieve our Vision to be a dental institution of international distinction:
1. To be the educational hub for dentistry in the region, being a confluence where the very best dental students, staff and faculty interact and learn from one another.  2. To establish a vibrant and conducive environment for high impact research, excellent teaching, and professional clinical service.  3. To produce clinically competent graduates with a sense of professionalism, ethical and social responsibility.  4. To develop peaks of excellence of high impact research.  5. To be the centre for postgraduate clinical specialty training programmes that are recognized for their excellence and graduates who are leaders in their clinical specialties.  6. To strengthen bonds with students, alumni and other stakeholders; building bridges that transcend the academic experience.  7. To provide leadership in the development of the profession.  8. To contribute towards life-long learning for the dental profession.
Accreditation
	lIDC is recognized by PM & DC.
	Three batches of IIDC have already graduated and are registered with PM & DC.
	IIDC is also recognized for training by the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan for FCPS Part-Il in Orthodontics and Operative Dentistry.
	IIDC is listed in WHO directory of accredited medical schools & universities.

Location

Islamic International Dental College and Hospital are located on 7th Avenue close to CDA (Capital Development Authority) offices, G-7/4 Sector of the Federal Capital Islamabad. Apart from being a fully equipped dental hospital, it is a part of 100-bedded tertiary care medical complex providing state of the art health facility.
